Whitby is the best town for a great day out!

As the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2008 were announced last night (23 April 2008), Yorkshire Tourist Board toasted the region’s Gold and Silver winners. Such was the success of Yorkshire, every nominated finalist won a medal at the awards:

• Gold for Whitby, Best Day Out in England, voted for by the general public on the Daily Mail’s travel website www.travelmail.co.uk
